Phenylacetyl-coenzyme A is the true inducer of the phenylacetic acid catabolism pathway in Pseudomonas putida U

Article Abstract:

Mutant analyses point out that phenylacetyl-CoA induces the central catabolism pathway involved in the aerobic degradation of phenylacetic acid in Pseudomonas putida U and not any other structurally or catabolically related aromatic compounds.

Role of an essential acyl coenzyme A carboxylase in the primary and secondary metabolism of Streptomyces coelicolor A3(2)

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the accB and accE genes that form part of the same operon. The genetic and biochemical characterization of the propionyl coenzyme A (CoA) carboxylases and acyl-CoA carboxylases from Streptomyces coelicolor have been carried out and described.

Genetic and biochemical characterization of the alpha and beta components of a propionyl-CoA carboxylase complex of Streptomyces coelicolor A3(2)

Article Abstract:

Research was conducted to characterize propionyl-CoA carboxylase complex subunits by gene analysis. Results show that PccB gene codes for the beta subunit and either AccA1 or AccA2 code for the alpha subunit of the enzyme complex.
