Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to determine the reaction of soybean cultivar J05 to all the strains of soybean mosaic virus (SMV), the inheritance of SMV resistance, and the allelic relationship of resistance genes. Results indicated that soybean cultivar J05 carried two dominant genes for SMV resistance, and a combination of both genes provided resistance to all SMV strains.
