Generation of Ski-knockdown mice by expressing a long double-strand RNA from an RNA polymerase II promoter

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on vector pDECAP developed to express long double-strand RNA from RNA polymerase II promoter. Results demonstrate that transgenic mice embryos expressing long double-strand RNA exhibit phenotypes similar to those of Ski-deficient embryos such as eye formation and neural tube closure.

Integral role of Noxa in p53-mediated apoptotic response

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on Noxa, the transcriptional target of tumor suppressor p53 which encodes pro-apoptotic proteins. The authors have investigated Noxa via the use if gene-targeting approach, and they report that Noxa is an integral mediator of the p53-dependent apoptosis.

Wnt-1 signal induces phosphorylation and degradation of c-Myb protein via TAKI, HIPK2, and NLK

Article Abstract:

An experiment to examine biologically relevant molecular mechanisms that regulate c-Myb activity is conducted. It is observed c-Myb protein degradation is induced by over expressing rat Fz2 receptor, a component of the Wnt/Ca(super 2+) pathway.
