GINS, a novel multiprotein complex required for chromosomal DNA replication in budding yeast

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on eukaryotic chromosomal DNA replication. The authors describe the use of a replication comples GINS (Go, Ichi, Nii, San-five, one, two, three in Japanese) in budding yeast containing proteins concerved in eukaryotic cells.

ATM-related Tel1 associates with double-strand breaks through an Xrs2-dependent mechanism

Article Abstract:

The authors have investigated budding yeast TEL1 gene which encodes protein related to ATM. They suggest that Tel1 associates with double-strand breaks via the mechanism dependent on the Xrs2 C terminus.
