From microbes to prions: The final proof of the prion hypothesis

Article Abstract:

A proof of prion hypothesis can be presented by engendering a prion into a natural host from an infectious prion produced in vitro. A study is conducted to produce a prion disease in a natural host from a prion, which is entirely generated in vitro using a PCR-like amplification system.

Structure, exchange determinants, and family-wide rab specificity of the tandem helical bundle and Vps9 domains of rabex-5

Article Abstract:

The catalytic core of the Rab GEF Rabex-5 is observed and is shown to have a tandem structure made up of Vps9 domain, stabilized by an essential helical bundle. Rab specificity, analyzed family-wise, demonstrates high selectivity for Rab5 subfamily GTPases.
