Fingerprinting of Campylobacter jejuni by using resolution-optimized binary gene targets derived from comparative genome hybridization studies

Article Abstract:

The comparative data generated by comparative genome hybridization (CGH) studies of Campylobacter jejuni in developing a genotyping method is investigated. The polymorphisms at each single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) could be determined without separate reactions for every polymorphism by normalizing the SNP assay with the respective Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter coli ubiquitous genes.

Inactivation of an iron transporter in Lactococcus lactis results in resistance to tellurite and oxidative stress

Article Abstract:

The Lactococcus lactis genes engaged in redox functions and oxidative stress, were examined by using tellurite resistance. Results concluded that tellurite resistance is an effective means to know the genes involved in oxidative stress.

Characterization of genetically matched isolates of Campylobacter jejuni reveals that mutations in genes involved in flagellar biosynthesis alter the organism's virulence potential

Article Abstract:

The genotype and phenotypic attributes of Campylobacter jejuni poultry isolates are examined. The abilities to invade INT 407 cells and levels of secretion of virulence proteins are found to be different in both isolates.
