Article Abstract:
A bovine-specific cDNA microarray is used for the characterization of gene expression in the bovine rectoanal junction mucosa in response to Escherichia coli O157:H7 colonization. The results have indicated the involvement of cell processes including immune response, cell structure/dynamics, signal transduction, intercellular communication and metabolism in the molecular mechanism of bovine cell response to colonization.

Article Abstract:
The high-definition microarray approach for investigating the growth effects of Tn5 insertions in Escherichia coli K-12 is described. It was found that individual insertion sites could be mapped within 50 bp of their genomic locations, and 340 dispensable regions in the E. coli chromosome.

Article Abstract:
A method for immobilizing Escherichia coli cells on microtiter plate well surfaces by using antimicrobial peptide cecropin P1 is described. Cecropin P1 was covalently attached to the well surfaces, and E. coli cells were allowed to bind to the peptide-coated surface.
