Article Abstract:
This article discusses the mechanistic aspects of cellular senescence and how the process is related to the organismal aging. Research reveals that cellular senescence in cultured cells of human and murine origin is mediated by two signal sources, an external due to stress and an internal influenced by chromosomal telomeres.

Article Abstract:
The review discusses regulation of the cell cycle events with particular reference to anaphase stage of cell division. Data point out that Mad2 protein possessing ubiquitination and proteolytic machinery participates in the signal transmission for the spindle checkpoint.

Article Abstract:
Research shows that Amn1 protein of the Antagonist of MEN pathway binds to a ras-related GTPase, Tem1, preventing Tem1 association with kinase Cdc15. Data indicate that failure of Amn1 leads to defects in both the spindle assembly and nuclear orientation checkpoints, sugesting that Amn1 is a cell-specific switch and facilitates cells exit from mitotic exit.
