The cattle-breeding industry in Australia is listing the results of feeding efficiency tests as a selling point for some bulls at market, as the concept has the potential to save farmers plenty of money.

Australian postdoc Nate Lo and his colleagues discovered a new species of bacteria which lives inside mitochondria of ticks. Lo and his colleagues named the organism as Midichloria mitochondrii, which was inspired by George Lucas's Star Wars.
