Article Abstract:
Human cytomegalovirus (CMV) produces V-beta-12-selective HIV-1 replication similar to the way known superantigens (SAGs) do, based on the direct interaction of T cells with CMV-infected monocytes. The monocyte-derived SAG directs HIV-1 replication to a particular V-beta subset probably initiating a viral reservoir. These findings validate previous studies on the role of MMTV SAG. The implications of the herpesvirus SAG for host-pathogen relationship in humans are discussed.

Article Abstract:
Study is conducted to show that flagellin and EF-Tu are shown to activate a common set of signaling events and defense responses but without clear synergistic effects. Results demonstrate that EFR is the EF-Tu receptor and that plant defense responses induced by PAMPs such as EF-Tu reduce transformation by agrobacterium.

Article Abstract:
The intracellular factor XIIIA transglutaminase crosslinks agonist-induced AT1 receptor homodimers via glutamine in the carboxyl-terminal tail of the AT1 receptor is reported. The crosslinked dimers displayed enhanced signaling and desensitization in vitro and in vivo.
