Article Abstract:
Eukaryotic cells use endocytosis to regulate nutrient internalization, signal transduction, and the composition of the plasma membrane. However, a more complex picture is emerging in which endocytic pathways integrate diverse signals, thereby contributing to a higher level of cellular an organismal organization and thus entocytosis and cell signaling are inter-twined in many biological processes, such as cell motility and cell fate determination.

Article Abstract:
Heterotrimeric G protein alpha subunit functions at the endosome to stimulate a phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase to help yeast respond to mating pheromones. The identification of intracellular G protein effector and establishing its physiological significance in signaling through genetic tests has helped in understanding heterotrimeric G protein signaling.
