Article Abstract:
The role of temperature, water activity (aW) and time in the synthesis of cyclopiazonic acid (CPA) and aflatoxins (AF) by Aspergillus flavus was analyzed to determine the factors that affect mycotoxin synthesis. Mycotoxin production by Aspergillus flavus in a semisynthetic agar medium was dependent on optimum aW which was affected by temperature and type of substrate. The maximum production of CPA and AF was determined by the complex interaction of aW, temperature, incubation time and the culture medium.

Article Abstract:
Research was conducted to examine the enzymatic formation of G-group aflatoxins and biosynthetic relationship between G- and B-group aflatoxins. Enzyme activity for G-group flatoxin formation was detected by using a cell extract and combined cytosol and microsome fractions of Aspergillus parasiticus NIAH-26. Results suggest that G-group aflatoxin biosynthesis may be regulated at the transcriptional level by mechanisms common to the other enzymes.

Article Abstract:
Research is conducted on the amplification of cDNA ends PCR(RACE-PCR) and thermal asymmetric interlaced PCR(TAIL-PCR) to demonstrate cDNA cloning and DNA encoding O-methyltransferase I from Aspergillus parasiticus. Results indicate that dmtA gene expression can be influenced by the composition of medium and the temperature of culture.
