Article Abstract:
Analysis of the influence of protein tyrosine kinase inhibitors such as genistein on fertilized sea urchin eggs reveals that genistein curbs phosphorylation of a 350 KDa protein and fertilization-mediated activity of protein kinase. At concentrations of above 100 micromoles, protein kinase C activity is disrupted, as also DNA synthesis and cell division.

Article Abstract:
This review elaborates on the role of HIV proteases in the viral morphogenesis as well as those of specific proteases and mutated particles promoting AIDS pathogenesis. Also, the use and mechanism of action of combinatorial inhibitors, targeting different viral proteins, and HIV protease inhibitors are discussed.

Article Abstract:
Results demonstrate that the ATPase associated activity family of protein, FtsH acts on the cell-division-initiation protein FtsZ under in vitro conditions. Implication of this finding in the in vivo regulation of FtsZ is discussed.
