Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to establish conditions for determining silver sensitivity and resistance in Escherichia coli. The influence of halide ions on the Ag+ resistance of E. coli K-12 strains were analyzed on LB agar support log-phase cultures. The effects of chloride ions on Ag+ resistance of E. coli J53 and J53(pMG101) were then determined in LB broth. Results indicated a basis for determining Ag+ sensitivity and resistance by bacterial isolates.

Article Abstract:
The study describes the broad diversity of microbes either able to reduce arsenate or to oxidize arsenite with the emphasis on genes that determine these transformations and a new understanding of enzyme structure. It was suggested that the arsenate adduct of glutathione is transported into the vacuole compartment of the plant cell.

Article Abstract:
The different methods used to determine extant kinetics constants of iron concentration by Acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans are described. The results claim that the acidithiobacillus ferrooxidans cells have no effect on the kinetics constants.
