ELAV inhibits 3'-end processing to promote neural splicing of ewg pre-mRNA

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on embryonic lethal abnormal visual system which regulates alternative pre-mRNA processing in Drosophila neurons. The authors have investigated the system's functional in vivo binding site in neurons via the reporter gene system development in transgenic animals, and they report that 3'-end processing factors can regulate alternative splicing.
