Douglas Scott Falconer is known for his work on response to artificial selection in mice, the concept of the cross-environment genetic correlation and for the development of the theory for understanding the genetics of complex human diseases in terms of an underlying liability. His highly acclaimed textbook, published in 1960, Introduction to Quantitative Genetics, is very helpful in genetic studies.

Obituary: Gabriel Ward Lasker (1912-2002)

Article Abstract:

Gabriel W. Lasker (1912-2002), a teacher of human anatomy at Wayne State University School of Medicine and the editor-in-chief of the journal, Human Biology, displayed an interest in improving the methods of teaching biological anthropology and anatomy. He became the foremost authority in the world on the use and interpretation of surname analyses for evolutionary studies.
