Article Abstract:
A potential genetic interaction between Dm-myb and the largest sub-unit of the DmMyb complex is explored using targeted mutagenesis to generate a mutant in the largest subunit of the DmMyb complex, the Aly and Lin-9 family member, Myb-interacting protein 130(Mip130). The results revealed that DmMyb and other members of the complex are interdependent upon each other for their steady state protein levels and might be unfolded or otherwise marked for degradation when the complex loses integrity.

Article Abstract:
Proliferating Drosophila Kc tissue culture cells are used to explore the network of genes regulated by Myb-MuvB (MMB)/dREAM and genomic locations of MMB following chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) and tiling array analysis. Results show many sites where MMB is a positive regulator of transcript levels that have included genes needed for mitotic functions, which have described the chromosome instability phenotypes attributed to loss of Myb function in myb mutants.

Article Abstract:
The in vivo studies of the regulatory activities of the Drosophila Myb-Muv (MMB) complex show that it produces several mutant phenotypes with eye defects and reduced fertility and are also responsible for the arrest of meiosis. The purified nuclear extracts from the testes of Drosophila show presence of tMac, a testis-specific meiotic arrest complex that contains MMB mutants such as Mip40, Caf1/p55.
