Article Abstract:
Actin remodeling at the front of moving cells is focused to reveal the existence of two distinct yet spatially overlapping actin networks that play an important role in cell migration. The first is defined as the lamellipodium that promotes the random protrusion and retraction of the leading edge and the second is the lamella, which is responsible for the advancement of the cell by integrating contraction with cellular adhesions.

Article Abstract:
Klarsicht (KASH) proteins and their KASH-less counterparts, which are cargo specific adaptors that link organelles to the cytoskeleton and regulate developmentally specific organelle movements, are studied. It is observed that KASH proteins play a vital role in nuclear migration and anchorage by tethering nuclei to either the actin or microtubule cytoskeleton.

Article Abstract:
The knowledge of how extracellular signaling molecules activate their cognate growth receptors is significant but little is known about the subsequent activation of intracellular signaling pathways and actin reorganization. Hypothesis that dynamic microtubules are required in order to catalyze the polarized actin assembly is presented.
