Using a study on mouse embryos, the fact that some of the total myelinating oligodendrocytes found in the cortex originate from ventral forebrain, is analyzed.

Origin of motoneurons and oligodendrocytes from Olig2 positive progenitors is discussed. Other astrocytes that are originating from pMN domain are presented.
