Quantification of bacterial groups within human fecal flora by oligonucleotide probe hybridization
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on the human adult fecal microbiota. The population structure of the phylogenic groups within the microbiota has been investigated.

Detection of intrecellular bacteria in the buds of scotch pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) by in situ hybridization
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on the bacterial isolates from pine tissue cultures. The use of the 16S rRNA in situ hybridization in investigating the existence of bacteria in pine buds is discussed.

Direct analysis of genes encoding 16S rRNA from complex communities reveals many novel molecular species within the human gut
Article Abstract:
Research conducted on the bacterial diversity in a human fecal sample analyzes cloned 16S rRNA gene sequences. Results indicate that 24% of molecular species can be scientifically described but the majority correspond to unknown organisms.
