Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to determine the diets of Northern Saw-whet Owls (Aegolius acadicus). A total of 1,148 Saw-whet Owl pellets were collected and analysed in southern Wisconsin from 1986 to 1990. Average pellet size was 3.03 cm in length and 1.50 cm in width and mainly comprised prey individuals such as rodents (84.5%), deermice (67.7%) and voles (16.1%). The food-niche breadth or the count of prey mammals and insects in the owl's diet was 2.17.

Satellite tracking of the Southern Buller's Albatrosses reveals that none of these birds forage near their breeding colony at The Snares, New Zealand during late incubation. They spend very less time close to the breeding grounds during foraging. Their feeding areas are 559 to 1,191 km away from The Snares. It is possible that the birds forage closer to the breeding grounds during the brooding period when they spend short periods at the sea.

Article Abstract:
Seasonal variation in habitat foraging behavior and diet of Wood Stork in Southern llanos of Venezuela was examined to test its response to the changing conditions of environment. Changes were seen on the foraging ecology of Wood Storks' adaptation to seasonal change. Thus, feeding behavior and efficiency were influenced by the differences in foraging habitat and availability of prey.
