Article Abstract:
Researchers developed nine simple sequence repeat (SSR) from Shorea curtisii using two different methods of screening by colony hybridization and isolating by a vectorette PCR. Analysis of 40 individuals of S. curtisii from natural forest in Malaysia revealed that SSR loci were polymorphic. Four SSR markers were highly polymorphic. They also tested the applicability of these SSR printers to other species of Dipterocarpaceae using PCR amplification.

Article Abstract:
Mediterranean plants provide many opportunities for understanding the genetic and evolutionary issues of that region. Different areas of the Mediterranean Sea have been colonized or isolated for varying periods, and this can be shown through the spatial population structure of genetic markers. Plant population differentiation has been affected by historical associations and closely related species that have experienced disjunct distributions.

Article Abstract:
Several theoretical, comparative and experimental studies are conducted to explain the different common metabolic and other pathways that explain the evolution of different microbial populations. The kin selection and biochemical constraints are found to be the main factors that lead to the observed evolutionary consequences.
