Article Abstract:
An emerging set of experiments that examine the role of local dendritic protein synthesis in memory and synaptic plasticity is reviewed. The findings suggest that the regulation of AMPA receptors subunit composition at synapses is a common mechanism contributing to both activity-induced and homeostatic forms of synaptic plasticity.

Article Abstract:
A novel specific adaptation of dendritic cell's (DC's) endocytic pathway to the antigen presentation function is described. The results have shown that NOX2 plays a vital role in conferring DCs the ability to function as specialized phagocytes adapted to process antigens rather than kill pathogens.

Article Abstract:
Dendrites of some sensory system neurons do not cross other dendrites from the same neuron types. Each class of neutrons may have an autonomous program to decide how large the dendritic tree should be.
