Crystal structure of glycogen synthase kinase 3(beta): structural basis for phosphate-primed substrate specificity and autoinhibition

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the of glycogen synthase kinase 3(beta) which is important for the insulin and Wnt signaling. The results of the crystal structure analysis of the human glycogen synthase kinase 3(beta) demonstrating the catalytically active conformation in the absence of the activation-segment phosphorylation are presented.

Structural basis for phosphodependent substrate selection and orientation by SCF (super)Cdc4 ubiquitin ligase

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on phospho-epitope recognition by Cdc4. The basis for this recognition and the nature of substrate orientation by E3 enzymes have been studied via the determination of the Skp1-Cdc4-Cdc4-phosphodegron phosphopeptide cocomplex, and the results are reported.

Structural basis for autoinhibition of the EphB2 receptor tyrosine kinase by the unphosphorylated juxtamembrane region

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the Eph receptor tyrosine kinase family regulated via the autophosphorylation in the juxtamembrane region. The X-ray crystal structure of the unphosphorylated and autoinhibited form of Eph2B has been explored and the results are presented.
