Article Abstract:
An extensive survey of the fully-grown oocyte (FGO) transcriptome, which has the necessary transcripts to activate molecular pathways underlying the oocyte-to-embryo transition (OET), is performed by analyzing the sequence tags of the Mus musculus FGO cDNA library. The results have shown conserved pathways underlying transition from oogenesis to initiation of development and illustrate how genes acquire and lose reproductive functions during evolution, a potential mechanism for reproductive isolation.

Article Abstract:
Dynamic balance in the assembly and dissassembly of the intermediates during homologous recombination is presented. DNA-based motor proteins, helicases and dsDNA translocases such as Rad54, RdH54/Td1 have the ability to dissociate protein-DNA complexes and junction intermediates during homologous recombination.

Article Abstract:
Several approaches are employed to study the nature of telomere fusion by functionally defining the critical telomere length in human cells. Results show that these telomeres are highly fusogenic and hence cause chromosomal instability.
