Cooperativity in long-range gene regulation by the lambda CI repressor

Article Abstract:

Studies demonstrate that O(sub L)3 is necessary for effective repression of P(sub RM) and that the repressor at O (sub L)3 appears to interact specifically with the repressor at O(sub R)3. Further, the proposed CI interactions between O(sub R) and O(sub L) into a physicochemical model of CI regulation are mentioned.

Octamerization of a lambda CI repressor is needed for effective repression of P(sub.RM) and efficient switching from lysogeny

Article Abstract:

Octamerization of a lambda CI repressor has been found to be required for repression of P(sub.RM) and for switching from lysogeny in an efficient way. Study has shown previous evidence that Cro binding to O(sub.R)3 is important in prophage induction to be invalid.

Cro's role in the CI-Cro bistable switch is critical for [lamda]'s transition from lysogeny to lytic development

Article Abstract:

A study to explain the importance of Cro, the double negative feedback loop in the CI-Cro bistable switch is presented. Analysis show that Cro is very important for [lamda]'s transition from lysogeny to lytic development in the switch.
