Article Abstract:
A two-gene cassette that can be selected both, against, because of a Campylobacter jejuni rpsL gene and for, due to an erm gene (erythromycin resistance) is presented. The desired Erm (super s) STR (super r) were acquired at a range of frequencies from 17 to 96% among STr (super r) transformants, with the Erm (super s) yield apparently depending on the strain background and genome location of the targeted locus.

Article Abstract:
In The Netherlands and Denmark forty-two Helicobacter isolates were isolated from swine feces and all twelve isolates sequenced (16S rRNA gene) formed a robust clade with Helicobacter canadensis (99% similarity). Amplified fragment length polymorphism genomic typing showed that isolates recovered from swine feces were genetically distinct from H. canadensis strains obtained from humans and geese.

Article Abstract:
Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter lanienae in feces of cattle can be directly quantified using nested real-time quantitative (RTQ)-PCR method. The effectiveness of the RTQ-PCR method in quantifying Campylobacter jejuni and Campylobacter lanienae is proved using SYBR green.
