Article Abstract:

The Dolly experiments have supported the idea that technically human cloning is possible. In view of this, manipulation of human oocytes are being studied for more feasible prospects of cloning humans. Generating one clonal human requires at least 100 rounds of ovulation induction. However, the lack of scientific, legal and moral literacy have deterred the spread of such technology.

Can flies help humans treat neurodegenerative diseases?

Article Abstract:

The use of Drosophila for the identification of potential treatments for neurodegenerative diseases is examined. The possibility of the therapies to translate into mammalian systems is discussed.
