Article Abstract:
Aspergillus niger has a kex protease that cleaves propeptides in the Golgi network. This protease cleaved a glucoamylase human interleukin-6 fusion protein with an engineered Kex2 dibasic cleavage site.

Article Abstract:
The genome of the cultivated basidiomycete Agaricus bisporus has a size of 31 Mb, and consists of 13 chromosomes. A large difference in the size of the homologous chromosomes IX, containing the rDNA repeat, is observed. This is due to the higher copy number of rDNA in the parental strain H97 as compared to the parental strain H39. The chromosomes are isolated by electrophoretic separation, and the homology of the strains H97 and H39 is established by assigning marker genes to the chromosomes.

Article Abstract:
The cloning and characterization of two rhamnogalacturonan hydrolase gene from Aspergillus niger were investigated since pectinolytic gene expression is genetically and physiologically characterized better for this organism. The study used the cloning pf the corresponding proteins with the A. aculeatus enzyme. Results show that the molecular characterization of rhamnogalacturonan hydrolase genes in A. niger contributes to the regulatory mechanisms controlling pectolytic enzyme structures.
