Article Abstract:
Functions performed by specific chromosome regions are ubiquitous and essential where their DNA, proteins and chromatin structure are expected to be conserved. The similarities and diversity that exist among the structural elements, DNA sequences and proteins, the make up terminal domains and how organisms use these in different ways to fulfill the functions of end-replication and end-protection are focused.

Article Abstract:
The outcome of a recent INSERM workshop, which precisely aimed at covering the whole set of issues mentioned, globally called Epigenomics is discussed. Some of the programs covered under the workshop included a review of new concepts on transcriptional regulation, cross linking assays, proteins and chromatin immunoprecipitation, DNA amplification and labeling and others.

Article Abstract:
The emergence of a novel type of chromatin regulatory element, named an insulator or boundary element to suppress transgene expression obstacles is reported. This promising type of chromatin element is focused which can be seriously considered as a candidate for use in different types of gene therapy vectors or transgenes.
