Characterization of plasmid pOR1 from Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale and construction of a shuttle plasmid

Article Abstract:

The isolation and characterization of the native plasmid pOR1 from O.rhinotracheale and the construction of a shuttle vector that can replicate both in Escherichia coli and Ornithobacterium rhinotracheale are presented. Studies demonstrate that shuttle vector paves the way for genetic modification and characterization of O.rhinotracheale genome and for the development of genetically defined vaccine strains.

Construction and characterization of shuttle vectors for succinic acid-producing rumen bacteria

Article Abstract:

Various shuttle vectors having the origins of replication functioning in Escherichia coli and rumen bacteria are constructed and characterized. These shuttle vectors can also be used for genetic and metabolic engineering of the rumen bacteria that produce succinic acid.

Identification of the cadmium-inducible Hansenula polymorpha SEO1 gene promoter by transcriptome analysis and its application to whole-cell heavy-metal detection systems

Article Abstract:

A set of Hansenula polymorpha (Hp) SEO1 genes was analyzed for selecting genes suitable for constructing cellular cadmium biosensor. Results conclude that an HpSEO1 gene promoter was substantially useful for monitoring heavy metal contamination.
