Article Abstract:
A study was conducted to identify thirty-seven single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in sheep, screening sixteen individuals from eight different sheep breeds selected throughout Europe. Diversity parameters for individual breeds were calculated using the program FSTAT. It was observed that out of the five SNPs in three genes, with overall frequencies below five percent, four SNPs have appreciable frequencies in specific breeds.

Article Abstract:
The results from the examination of 384 single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) on canine chromosome 9 and successful genotyping of 217 and a maximum of 275 SNPs using buccal swab samples for 181 dogs are presented. It shows the suitability of amplified canine buccal samples for high-throughput multiplex genotyping and approve extensive linkage disequilibrium (LD) in the dog.
