Chromosomal aberrations and overexpression of HMGA1 are discussed with regard to malignant tumor formation. Comparisons are made between canine, human, rat, hamster, murine, bovine, chicken, pig, and Xenopus HMGA1 transcripts.

RAS Gene Hot-Spot Mutations in Canine Neoplasias

Screening was performed on 11 canine melanomas and 13 fibrosarcomas to determine point mutations in canine neoplasias. Findings regarding the role of RAS genes are compared to current data from other tumor studies.
