Bacteria associated with spores of the Arbuscular Mycorrhizal fungi Glomus geosporum and Glomus constrictum
Article Abstract:
The bacterial community associated with spores of Glomus geosporum BEG 18 and Glomus constrictum BEG 19 are assessed with PCR-denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis (PCR-DGGE) analysis. Scanning electron microscopy of Glomus geosporum spores reveal that these bacteria are possibly feeding on the outer hyaline spore layer.
