Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on RNA-induced silencing complex. The authors demonstrate that the small interfering RNA strands are not eligible for the assembly into RNA-induced silencing complex, and that the asymmetry for both small interfering RNA function and microRNA biogenesis are responsible for RNA-induced silencing complex assembly.

Article Abstract:
Research shows that the RNA interference pathway is ATP dependent and consists of four sequential steps and requiring a 5' phosphate for entry of an short interfering RNA into the RNA interference pathway. Data suggest that only bona fide short interfering RNAs direct target RNA destruction.

Article Abstract:
The generally accepted RNA helicase, Armitage (Armi), is needed to curb oskar translation in drosophila oocytes and studies were conducted to show that armi is necessary for RNAi. Results show that armi is necessary for RNA-induced silencing complex (RISC) maturation.
