Association of Chk1 with 14-3-3 proteins is stimulated by DNA damage
Article Abstract:
DNA damage-dependent links between phosphorylated Chk1 and 14-3-3 proteins suggest these mediate a significant step on the DNA-damage checkpoint path. The 14-3-3 proteins Rad24 and Rad25 interact with Chk1 in fission yeast. Once DNA is damaged, Chk1 is phosphorylated and the 14-3-3 proteins prefer binding to that form. In fission yeast, the interaction between 14-3-3 proteins and Cdc25 does not require Chk1 function.

Smoothened transduces Hedgehog signal by physically interacting with Costal2/Fused complex through its C-terminal tail
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on Hedgehog family of secreted proteins. The authors have discovered that transmembrane protein Smoothened transduces the Hedgehog signal via physical interaction with the Costal2/Fused protein complex.

Transcriptional regulation by calcium, calcineurin, and NFAT
Article Abstract:
The authors review the publications on NFAT family of transcription factors. The topics include the analysis of cellular inputs affecting NFAT, diverse DNA models bound by NFAT, and transcriptional regulation by NFAT.
