Arginine methylation of STAT1 modulates IFN(alpha)/beta-induced transcription

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the interferon transcriptional induction requiring tyrosine and serine phosphorylation of signal transducers and activators of transcription (STAT) factors. The arginine methylation of STAT1 by protein arginine methyl-transferase as a requirement for the IFN(alpha)/beta-induced transcription has been carried out and the results are reported.

Control of intrinsic transcription termination by N and NusA: the basic mechanisms

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the intrinsic transcription termination which affects gene expression regulation in prokaryotes. Results indicate that the negative and positive termination factors control the termination efficiency via the hairpin folding direct modulation and via the pausing change at the termination point.
