Article Abstract:
An inducible expression system in Synechocystis sp. strain PCC 6803 is established to facilitate the identification of the rate-limiting step(s) in the tocopherol biosynthetic pathway through the modulation of transgene expression. Results reveal that the nirA promoter could be used to control transgene expression in Synechocystis and homogentisic acid is a limiting factor tocopherol synthesis in Synechocystis sp. strain PCC 6803. strain PCC 6803.

Article Abstract:
Construction of a luciferase-based vector, pPL2lux and use of this vector is described in order to study gene expression in Listeria monocytogenes. The experiments clearly establish the effectiveness of pPL2lux as a quantitative reporter system for real-time, noninvasive evaluation of gene expression in L. monocytogenes.

Article Abstract:
The expression of the two kdp operons is examined under a variety of environmental stress conditions. Results show that Anabaena sp. strain L-31 kdp2 is the major kdp operon trancriptionally activated in response to K(super +) limitation and desiccation stress.
