Apical localization of wingless transcripts is required for Wingless signaling

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the function and distribution of the signaling protein Wingless predetermined by its mRNA subcellular localization. The results of the in situ hybridization indicating the apical transcript localization in the examined tissues are discussed.

Research has been conducted on the loss of the fragile X mental retardation protein function. The use of the RNA selection in demonstrating that the fragile X mental retardation protein RGG box binds the intramolecular G quartets is described.
