Analyses of spatial distributions of sulfate-reducing bacteria and their activity in aerobic wastewater biofilms
Article Abstract:
Research is conducted on determining the vertical distribution of the sulfate-reducing bacteria, profiles of the substrate and sulfur pool distributions in the wastewater biofilms. Results provide information on sulfur cycle in wastewater biofilms.

Use of an enzyme-linked lectinosorbent assay to monitor the shift in polysaccharide composition in bacterial biofilms
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on the enzyme-linked lectinosorbent assay. The quantification and characterization of extracellular polysaccharides that have been produced from bacterial strain biofilms are discussed.

Fate of nitrate acquired by the tubeworm Riftia pachyptila
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on the tubeworm Riftia pachyptila. Results indicate that ammonia and nitrate elimination by R. pachyptila occurs at low rates.
