Article Abstract:
A study shows that DNA or deoxyribonucleosides are required for the anaerobic growth of several Bacillus mojavensis strains including strain JF-2 and two Bacillus subtilis strains. The analysis suggests that other proteins, not solely ribonucleotide reductases, can regulate the intercellular balance of ribonucleotides and deoxyribonucleotides and that ribinucleotide reductases may not be essential to the bacterial cell cycle.

Article Abstract:
The randomly amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD)-PCR and fluorescent amplified fragment length polymorphism (fAFLP) analyses are carried out on Bacillus isolates from industrial and artisanal cured sausages to evaluate the genetic heterogeneity in the Bacillus genus. The combined use of molecular, immunological and physiological techniques for the analysis of genetic determinants helped in evaluating the potential risk.

Article Abstract:
Targeted isolation of a designated region of the Bacillus subtilis genome was conducted by using recombinational transfer. Results revealed that DNA fragments can be cloned through the successful positional cloning of internal DNA facilities.
