Article Abstract:
Research was conducted to investigate whether anaphase calcium signals cause chromosome disjunction during first mitosis in sea urchin embryos. An Eppendorf micromanipulator was utilized to harvest boroscilicate glass micropipettes while sea urchin eggs were developed in artificial sea water. Results indicated that calcium regulated chromosome disjunction in the embryos. They also showed delays in spindle elongation resulting from small spindle size.

Article Abstract:
The mitotically regulated manner of interaction between vesicle docking protein p115 and cis-Golgi matrix protein GM130 was analyzed through utilization of deletion analysis which revealed that p115 specifically interacts with the N-terminus while GM130 with C-terminus. Mitotically modified GM130 and N-terminus peptide failed to bind with p115, significantly implying that interactions were mitotically regulated.

Article Abstract:
The TIP47 is a 47kDa protein that plays an important role in endosome-to-TGN transport. It binds selectively to the cytoplasmic domains of either cation-dependent or cation-independent mannose 6-phosphate receptors (MPRs). It is also needed in the in vitro and in vivo transportation of MPRs from endosomes to the trans-Golgi network using the phenylalanine/tryptophan signal of the MPR cytoplasmic domain.
