Amplified fragment length polymorphism analysis of campylobacter jejuni strains isolated from chickens and from patients with gastroenteritis or Guillain-Barre or Miller Fisher syndrome

Article Abstract:

Results demonstrate that Camphylobacter jejuni strains from chickens are not distinguishable from those of humans or between Guillain-Barre syndrome and Miller Fisher syndrome strains as revealed by amplified fragment polymorphism analysis.

Differentiation of Campylobacter species by AFLP fingerprinting

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on the amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP). The results if the AFLP analysis carried out for the identification and differentiation of Campylobacter species and subspecies important in the veterinary context are discussed.

Identification of distinct Campylobacter lari genogroups by amplified fragment length polymorphism and protein electrophoretic profiles

Article Abstract:

Results reveal marked genetic heterogeneity in amplified fragment length polymorphism (AFLP) and protein profiles in Campylobacter lari genogroups, nalidixic acid-resistant thermophilic campylobacters and urease-positive campylobacters, suggesting they are genetically diverse and distinct. Data indicate that the former consists of at least two genogroups.
