Alginate gene expression by Pseudomonas syringae pv. tomato DC3000 in host and non-host plants

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on Pseudomonas syringae which produces exopolysaccharide alginate. The authors describe their study of alginate gene expression in host and non-host plants inoculated with P. syringae pv. tomato DC3000, and the results indicate that algD is expressed when P. syringae colonizes both types of plant hosts.

Diurnal expression of hetR and diazocyte development in the filamentous non-heterocystous cyanobacterium Trichodesmium erythraeum

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on cell differentiation. The authors have investigated molecular basis initiation for the differentiation of nitrogen-fixing cell type, diazocytes, from Trichodesmium erythraeum, and have discussed possible mechanisms involved in diazocyte development.

Expression of a cloned cyclopropane fatty acid synthase gene reduced solvent formation in Clostridium acetobutylicum ATCC 824

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on cyclopropane fatty acid synthase gene from Clostridium acetobutylicum ATCC 824. The cloning and expression of this gene have been carried out under clostridial ptb promoter control, and the results are discussed.
