Adaptor protein Ste50p links Ste11p MEKK to the HOG pathway through plasma membrane association

Article Abstract:

The regulatory role of Ste50p requires both the N-terminal Sterile alpha motif domain to bind the mitrogen extracellular signal-regulated kinase kinase (MEKK) Ste11p and the C-terminal Ras association-like domain to direct kinase localization. An integral membrane protein, Opy2p can interact with Ste50p, as a component in the Sho1p-Ste11p/Ste50p signaling branch of the high-osmolarity glycerol (HOG) pathway.

Metastatic tumor antigen 3 is a direct corepressor of the Wnt4 pathway

Article Abstract:

The effect of targeted overexpression of metastatic tumor antigen (MTA3) in mouse mammary gland was investigated in order to better understand MTA3's biological functions in physiological settings. It was found that Wnt4 is a direct target of MTA3 and that phenotypic changes in the MTA3 transgenic mammary glands remarkably resemble those from the Wnt4-null mice.

What better measure than ribosome synthesis?

Article Abstract:

The control of cell growth involves control of ribosome synthesis. The cell somehow matches the replication of its genome, with the implicit decision to divide, or perhaps to its predicted size at the time division occurs.
