Article Abstract:
A study to show that JACKDAW and MAGPIE zinc finger proteins act in the SHR-dependent feed-forward loop to regulate the range of action of SHORT-CROW and SCARECROW is presented. Results provide evidence that JACKDAW and MAGPIE regulate tissue boundaries and asymmetric cell division, and can control SHORT-CROW and SCARECROW activity.

Article Abstract:
The PLETHORA1 (PLT1) AND PLT genes encoding AP2 class putative transcription factors that are essential for QC specification and stem cell activity are presented. The PLT genes are transcribed in response to auxin accumulation and are dependent on auxin response transcription factors.

Article Abstract:
A newly developed gene activation/deletion system are positively marked to show that SCARECROW (SCR) acts cell-autonomously to control asymmetric cell division. Evidences are provided to show that SCR gene expression is under autoregulatory control.
