A new single-copy mycobacterial plasmid, pMF1, from Mycobacterium fortuitum which is compatible with the pAL5000 replicon
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on the Mycobacterium fortuitum plasmid. The isolation of this plasmid from a strain and thed construction of its restriction map are described.

The newly characterized colicin Y provides evidence of positive selection in pore-former colicin diversification
Article Abstract:
Research has been conducted on the evolutionary mechanisms developed in the process of protein diversification of colicins. DNA and protein sequence comparisons of the colicin Y gene cluster and the encoded proteins has been investigated.
