Article Abstract:
A mechanism of ubiquitin-independent proteasomal degradation of the tumor suppressors p53 and p73, which is mediated by the 20S proteasomes and is regulated by NQO1, is presented. The results of the study provide evidence for in vivo 20S proteasomal degradation of specific short-lived proteins and also suggested that NQO1 could be functioning as a gatekeeper of the 20S proteasomes.

Article Abstract:
The proper networking and maintenance of the dendritic fields is responsible for the effective sensory neuron functioning. It is shown that the activity of Polycomb group (PcG) genes is responsible for the normal establishment of dendritic fields in the larva of Drosophila through interactions and associations with tumor suppressor kinases hippo and warts.

Article Abstract:
The molecular mechanism of REDD1 protein for regulating tuberous sclerosis tumor suppresor proteins (TSC1/2)-mammalian of target of rapamycin complex (mTORCI) signaling is discussed. Findings reveal the suppression of mTORC1 activity due to hypoxia and REDD1 by releasing TSC2 from its growth factor-induced association with inhibitory 14-3-3 proteins.
