Translation/secretion coupling by type III secretion systems

Article Abstract:

Type III secretion systems or chaperones participate in the export of virulence proteins and flagellar components in Gram-negative bacteria. Data demonstrate that chaperones also mediate translation of the secreted proteins and together with chaperone FlgM, they exhibit both mRNA and amino acid secretion signals.

Helicobacter species colonizing pig stomach: molecular characterization and determination of prevalence

Article Abstract:

Research was conducted to examine the prevalence and infection by Helicobacter bacteria in pigs using histological and polymerase chain reaction techniques. Results from 60 pigs showed 50 pigs were infected with H. heilmannii type 1 and the rest with type 2.
