Research has been conducted on chlorate-respiring bacterium Ideonella dechloratans. The authors have investigated chlorate reduction in this bacterium, and they describe the isolation and characterization of chlorate reductase from I. dechloratans, and the sequences for the genes encoding chlorate reductase.

Reductive dehalogenation of chlorobenzene congeners in cell extracts of Dehalococcoides sp. strain CBDB1

Article Abstract:

Research has been conducted on cell extracts with low protein concentration. The authors report that enzymatic reductive dehalogenation of tri-, tetra-, penta-, and hexachlorobenzenes has been shown in these cells derived from Dehalococcoides sp. strain CBDB1.

Protocol for rapid fluorescence in situ hybridization of bacteria in cryosections of microarthropods

Research has ben conducted on bacteria which inhibits microarthropods. The authors describe the protocol developed to detect these bacteria via the use of small-subunit rRNA-targeted fluorescence in situ hybridization and microscopy.
